Answer:

Ava has to work 43 and a half (43.5) hours to earn $609.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Price of new computer = $1218

Solution,

Ava already saved half amount of price of computer.

Half price = \frac{1218}{2} =609

The amount of money that Eva has to earn is the difference of price of computer and saved money.

Amount to be earn = 1218-609=609

Here we use the unitary method to find out the number of hours.

∵ Ava earns $14 in 1 hour.

∴  Ava earns $1 = \frac{1}{14}

∴  Ava earns $609 =\frac{1}{14}\times609=43.5\ hours

Hence Ava has to work 43 and a half (43.5) hours to earn $609.

What is this question for math 2/12+1/3
Alexxandr [17]

Answer: 1/2

<u>Multiply both the numerator and denominator of each fraction by the number that makes its denominator equal the LCD</u>

(2/12*1/1) + (1/3+4/4)

<u>Complete the multiplication and the equation becomes </u>

2/12+4/12

<u>The two fractions now have like denominators so you can add the numerators.</u>

2+4/12 = 6/12

<u>This fraction can be reduced by dividing both the numerator and denominator by the Greatest Common Factor </u>

6/12 ÷ 6/6 = 1/2

<u>Therefore: </u>

2/12 + 1/3 = 1/2
