So you look at the 2 in the 428,731 and that is less than 5, so the estimate is, 400,000 and you look at the 7 in 175,842 and that is more than 5, so the estimate is 200,000 (if you want to estimate to the hundred thousands..) and if you want the answer.. i can give it to you in another comment because you are just saying to just give you the estimate.

Hope I helped!

The marks price of an article is 4500.after allowing some percent of and levying 10% VAT it is sold at 4400, find the discount p
Mars2501 [29]

The discount percent for the given transaction is calculated as; 6.11%

<h3>What is the percentage Discount?</h3>

We are given;

Mark Price; M.P = 4500

Now, formula for discount amount is;

Discount amount = %Discount * M.P

Discount amount = x% * 4500 = 45x

Also;

Selling price is;

S.P = M.P - Discount Amount

S.P = 4500 - 45x

VAT = Vat% * S.P

VAT = (10%*4500) - 45x

VAT = 450 - 45x

S.P with VAT = S.P + VAT Amount = 4500 - 45x + 450 - 45x = 4950 - 90x

Thus;

4950 - 90x = 4400

Solving for x gives;

x = 6.11%

How much elastic energy is stored in a slingshot that has a spring constant of 300 N/m and is stretched by 0.45m?
vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer:

E = 30.37 J

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

The spring constant of the spring, k = 300 N/m

The spring is stretched by 0.45 m, x = 0.45 m

We need to find the elastic energy stored in the spring. The formula for the elastic energy is given by :

E=\dfrac{1}{2}kx^2\\\\=\dfrac{1}{2}\times 300\times (0.45)^2\\\\=30.37\ J

So, the required elastic energy is equal to 30.37 J.

Marcus shoes: 35.99(5.5%)= (about) $1.98(tax) so 35.99+1.98= 37.97

Tia shoes: 39.99(9%)= (about)3.60 (tax) so 39.99+3.60=43.59

However it’s 15% off so 43.59(15%)= 6.54 so 43.59-6.54= 37.05

The difference is 0.92

What is the x, y, and z for this question?
Monica [59]

Answer:

x= -2

y=0

z= 1

Step-by-step explanation:

{-x+5y-10z=-8

2x-y+10z=6}

{2x-y+10z=6

-7x-3y-10y=4}

{-x+5y-10z=-8

2x-y+10z=6} = x+4y=-2

{2x-y+10z=6

-7x-3y-10y=4} = -5x-4y=10

{x+4y=-2

-5x-4y=-10}. =. y= 0 x= -2

substitute x and y in -x+5y-10z=-8

-(-2)+5(0)-10z=-8

solve for z

z= 1

(x,y,z) = (-2,0,1)

hope this helps
