Answer:

The answer here is that the problem with the question is that the question is a double-barreled question.

Explanation:

For further clarity on the choice of answer and the question asked. let us talk more on what a double-barreled question is.

A double-barreled question can be refereed to as a a form of trick question that when asked, it usually address more than one issue. However, the answer or reply to such question are expected to be precise and straight forward.

For example, if an individual is being asked a question such as do you still smoke ? If the reply comes as a NO, it means that the responder admits to had been smoking previously however, he has stopped smoking.

Also, if the responder reply is a YES, it means the responder agrees to have always been a smoker and admits to still smoke till date.

So in a way, the response to the double-barreled questions usually dwell in fallacy most of the time.

I hope the explanation helps.

Answer:

Depreciation amount at the end of one year is $10,900

Explanation:

Land is not depreciated because land is assumed to have an unlimited useful life. Building is a long lived assest and it has limited useful lives. Therefore, building is depreciated assets.

The building acquisition cost is = Building transaction value + building transfer costs + Renovation cost

= $88,000 + $4,000 + $25,000

= $117,000

Depreciation value = The building acquisition cost - The residual value

= $117,000 - $8,000

= $109,000

Depreciation amount under the Straight-line method is calculated as below:

Yearly depreciation = \frac{Depreciation Value}{Useful life}

= \frac{109,000}{10}

= $10,900

The Retreat (Scenario)
Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

d. adjourning

Explanation:

A group's disbanding is called the adjourning phase. The adjournment stage, created by Bruce Tuckman in 1977, is the fifth and final phase of group creation that takes place whenever a team concludes its work and then dissolves.

At around this point, it is crucial that team members get sufficient resolution and appreciation for the work they've done.

Remember that not all groups are going through a period of adjournment. If the team remains together for future projects, the adjournment stage of group growth would not go through.

Explanation:

Here are the options to the last question

Why is the largest possible value of the Herfindahl index 10,000 ?

a. An index of 10,000 corresponds to 100 firms with a 1% market share each

b. An industry with an index higher than 10,000 is automatically regulated by the Justice Department

c. An index of 10,000 corresponds to a monopoly firm with 100% market share

HHI index = 60² + 20² + 20² = 4400

If one of the firms leaves the industry, the market share would be distributed between the two firms and this would cause the HHI index to increase as firm's concentration would increase

If only one firm operates in the industry, its market share would be 100% and its HHI index would be 100² = 10,000. For an industry to exist there has to be at least one firm operating in the industry,
