The framers of our Constitution were aware of the fact that various inequalities existed in our society at the time of independe
lorasvet [3.4K]

Answer and Explanation:

9. One type of social inequality that still exists in India is gender inequality. In many parts of India, women do not have access to the same educational, social and economic resources as men. These women are devalued and prevented from having social equality and their rights are limited and even denied. Another inequality that prevails in Indian society is that caused by the caste system, which is still maintained in some regions of India, although it is prohibited in the country. This division of castes determines the value of each citizen and those who are in the lowest castes are the ones who suffer most from inequality, being prevented from participating in society as a normal citizen.

10. One of the measures taken by the government to reduce this inequality was the prohibition of the caste system within the Hindu society in the country. However, it is necessary that there is a tougher inspection, so that this system is really fought. Another measure was the inclusion of women in basic and higher education, which helped women to have more equality within the population, however, women are still victims of inequality.

Mika can eat 212121 hot dogs in 666 minutes. She wants to know how many minutes (m)(m)(, m, )it would take her to eat 353535 hot
den301095 [7]

Answer:

10 minutes

Explanation:

Mika can eat 21 hot dogs in 6 minutes and she wants to know how many minutes it will take her to eat 35 hot dogs.

This is a problem that can be used establishing a ratio. We know that she can eat 21 hot dogs in 6 minutes, therefore her ratio would be: \frac{21}{6}

Now if she wants to know how many minutes it will take her to eat 35 hot dogs we can establish another radio where x will be the number of minutes it will take her: \frac{35}{x}

Since the problem tells us that she can keep up the same pace when eating the 35 hot dogs, we can make those two radios equal to one another and solve for x:

\frac{21}{6} = \frac{35}{x}\\x=\frac{35(6)}{21} \\x= \frac{210}{21} \\x= 10

Thus, it will take her 10 minutes to eat 35 hot dogs.

What made the Dred Scott case a significant one in American history?
vladimir1956 [14]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

I think after doing some quick googling I feel like D is the correct choice.

The Dred Scott case was a major event on the road to the Civil War. The Supreme Court's ruling was a provocative opinion. It stated flatly that Blacks had "no rights which the white man was bound to respect" and rejected the right of any territory to ban slavery within its own borders.

The answer is D b/c they basically denied him his rights and told him that someone's property cannot sue and said that just because he lived in a free state doesnt make him free.

What more could the government have done to support the Ireland famine ?
Whitepunk [10]
Since they viewed it as a great way to 'decrease the surplus population', having a different, more sympathetic outlook would have helped. Giving them food they could cook and eat would also have helped: the Irish had a lot of trouble trying to prepare and eat the Indian meal they sent. They could also have opened more soup kitchens, told the landlords to show a little leniency and stop evicting people because heir livelihoods were gone and their means of paying rent with them. But they wanted to get rid of the Irish, and so they did. There was a famine in the Scottish Highlands in 1846 and because of charitable efforts nowhere near as many people died. They could have saved them by showing charity, but they didn't.
