Take the cube root of both the left and right sides. What times what times what equals 125? What times what times what equals 27? Same with the x. x * x * x= x^3 because when multiplying x, we add the exponents. 5 * 5 * 5= 125. 3 * 3 * 3= 27.

x^3= 125/27
x= 5/3 or 1.6666667

Hope this helps! :)

Please express exponentiation with "^":  Solve x^3 = 125 / 27.

Find the cube root of both sides.  The cube root of x^3 is just x.
The cube root of 125 is 5, and the cube root of 27 is 3.  What is the value of x?

A translation maps (x, y) to
Troyanec [42]

Answer:

second quadrant

Step-by-step explanation:

(x, y ) → (x - 5, y + 3 ) means subtract 3 from the original x- coordinate and add 3 to the original y- coordinate.

(- 3, - 2 ) ← in third quadrant

→ (- 3 - 5, - 2 + 3) → (- 8, 1 ) ← in second quadrant

Find a a pair of numbers of both 4y-4x=48 and y= x-11
stich3 [128]

Answer:

There is no solution because the slopes of the line are the same.

Step-by-step explanation:

4y - 4x = 48

    + 4x    + 4x        Add 4x to both sides

4y = 4x + 48          Divide both sides by 4

y = x + 12

Now set both equations equal to each other since they equal y

x + 12 = x - 11

-x         - x           Subtract x from both sides

12 ≠ -11                No Solution
