The correct answer is option B, Half of the boys are normal and half of the boys are color-blind

When a  mother carries certain X – linked recessive traits, she passes on this X-linked traits to her son and he will inherit the color vision issue have trouble distinguishing reds and greens While a daughter can be just as carrier of the trait of colorblindness and will have this form of colorblindness only when both her father and mother pass along the X-linked gene. Thus, more men than women are color blind.

The cross for the above situation is shown below –

XXr  x XY

XXr – Color deficiency carrier mother

XY – Father without any color deficiency

Off springs produced will be

XX – unaffected daughter

XXr – Carrier daughter

XY – Unaffected son

XrY – Affected son

Answer:

species.

Explanation:

Taxonomy can be defined as the process of naming, classification and description of living organisms such as plants and animals. Thus, it is the biological classification of living organisms based on similarities or characteristics such as eyes, number of legs, etc.,

The eight (8) biological classification (taxonomy) used for grouping and organizing organisms are; kingdom, domain, phylum, family, order, class, genus and species.

In taxonomy, species refers to the basic unit of naming that includes members such as mammals and reptiles with the ability to reproduce with each other to birth new offsprings and exchange genetic informations. Some examples of species include Homosapiens, Vulpes, Elephas maximus, Pinus banksiana, Alces laces, Ursus americans, Canis lupus, etc.

Which statement is NOT true of genetic drift?
Lera25 [3.4K]
Genetic drift does NOT create greater diversity within a population. Its effect is the opposite of it. Because of the infrequency of an allele, the allele may be lost in the population or only appear rarely in a specific locus in a population. This will then result in a loss of variance to the population.

The answer then will be letter A.
