The correct answer is option B, Half of the boys are normal and half of the boys are color-blind

When a mother carries certain X – linked recessive traits, she passes on this X-linked traits to her son and he will inherit the color vision issue have trouble distinguishing reds and greens While a daughter can be just as carrier of the trait of colorblindness and will have this form of colorblindness only when both her father and mother pass along the X-linked gene. Thus, more men than women are color blind.

The cross for the above situation is shown below –

XXr x XY

XXr – Color deficiency carrier mother

XY – Father without any color deficiency

Off springs produced will be

XX – unaffected daughter

XXr – Carrier daughter

XY – Unaffected son

XrY – Affected son

Biochemical changes in the body, that affect the rate of metabolism and elimination of a substance from the body and produce inc
ahrayia [7]

Answer:

Tolerance

Explanation:

Tolerance is the capacity of an organism to survive changes in certain environmental and biochemical conditions. It has to with changes an organism is able to withstand when is subjected to certain factors which can biotic or abiotic.

For example, in the consumption of alcohol, tolerance can occur when there is a fast elimination of alcohol from the body system. This is usually as a result of the activation of a group of enzymes that is responsible for the metabolism of alcohol in excessive alcohol drinkers. The activation of this enzymes increases the catabolism of alcohol and hence reduces the active time within the body, hence reducing the time by which alcohol intoxicates.

A three banded isoenzyme pattern with a 1:2:1 intensity ratio indicates a ________________ protein.
djverab [1.8K]

A three banded isoenzyme pattern with a 1:2:1 intensity ratio indicates a dimeric protein.

 • Isozyme is a multimeric forms of enzyme having similar specificity of the substrate but differences in kinetics and molecular weights of the enzymes.
 • The banding patterns of isozyme observed from electrophoresis is related to the genetic conditions in which different combination of polypeptide chains exhibited under the mendelian principles.
 • Hence with the intensity of 1:2:1 ratio, three banded phenotypes are formed having two homomeric and one heteromeric form from the dimeric protein in both multiple alleles at single loci and multiple /single allele at multiple loci.
