<h3>Answer:</h3>

x=2

<h3>Step-by-step explanation:</h3>

Using similarity and enlargement;

  • ΔABE is similar to ΔACD
  • Therefore, the ratios of corresponding sides will be equal.
  • That is; AC/AB = AD/AE = CD/BE

In this case;

AC = 48

AB = 36

AE = 24

AD = 24 + 6x - 4

     = 20 + 6x

Therefore;

\frac{48}{36}=\frac{20+6x}{24}

Thus;

(48 × 24) = 36(20 + 6x)

1152 = 720 + 216x

216x = 1152 - 720

216x = 432

     x = 432 ÷ 216

       = 2

Therefore, the value of x is 2

Write the following polynomial in standard from, then label the degree: <br> -5-5x^2+8x-3x^3
ddd [48]

When putting polynomials in standard form we arrange them from the term with the highest power to the lowest power.

This polynomial would be arranged: -3x^3-5x^2+8x-5

The degree of a polynomial is the power of the highest term so the degree of this polynomial is three.

14 lessons costs $210. What would 72 lessons cost
Oksi-84 [34.3K]

Answer:

$1,080

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve, we can make a proportion

14 lessons are $210 and 72 lessons are $x

14/210=72/x

Cross multiply

14*x=210*72

14x=15120

To solve for x, we need to get x by itself. Since x is being multiplied by 14, divide both sides by 14.

14x/14=15120/14

x=1080

So, 72 lessons will cost $1,080
