A coordinate proof geometry is that which uses a coordinate system. it f allows you to use algebraic techniques . You can use coordinate proofs when needed that you could do a synthetic proof. Sometimes it is very hard to do algebra coordinate geometry helps you to use equations of lines, the midpoint formula, the distance formula, equations for circles, ellipses, etc...now take exampl you can prove the Pythagorean theorem using a coordinate proof: without loss of generality now place the right angle of the triangle at the origin so that the the legs lying on the positive x and y axes. now Let the vertex A be at (a,0), andthe vertex B be at (0,b) and the vertex C at (0,0) with . Then by the distance formula u can solvehope it helps

Softa [21]
(-1,3)(0,0)
slope(m) = (0 - 3) / (0 - (-1) = -3/1 = - 3

y = mx + b
slope(m) = -3
y int (b) = 0

ur equation is : y = -3x

function notation is : f(x) = -3x <==

Which of the following describes an angle with a vertex at Y?
trapecia [35]

Answer:

The correct options are A and B.

Step-by-step explanation:

The angles are represented by three capital letters like: ABC or DEF. In these names middle letter represent the vertex of the angle.

The order or first and last letter does effect the angle. It means

ABC=CBA

We have to find the angle with a vertex at Y. It means the middle letter must be Y.

In option A and B the middle letter is Y, therefore both options are correct.

In option C and D the middle letter is not Y, therefore both options are incorrect.
