You can model a percent many ways. Compare fractions, decimals and percents using area models. You can also use a pi chart, bar graph, and so many other graphs when using percentages. Hope this helps you.

You make a rectangle and put 100 on the end at the top and the number that your finding the percent of on the bottom at the end and then divide the rectangle into the parts like if your finding 20% of 100 then you divide it by five and add 20 but with harder numbers you just make the percent a decimal then muiltiply it by the number your finding the percent of hope it helps

NemiM [27]
Weird question wording. I take it should mean that this is a quadratic equation with solutions of x = -5 and x = 8. Then these are the factors: (x+5) and (x-8).
 So

(x+5)(x-8) = 0 is the equation because x = -5 and x = 8 can make left-side equal to 0. But we expand so it becomes x² - 3x - 40 = 0

The length of a rectangle is 11cm more than the width. The perimeter is 90cm. Find the length and width of the rectangle.
nadya68 [22]

Answer:

Length=22.5cm, Breadth=11.5cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let length be l and width be w.

w+22=l

w+w+w+22+w+22=90

4w=90-22-22

    =46

w=46 divided by 4

  =11.5

l=11.5+11

=22.5

Hence,

Length of rectangle=22.5cm

Breadth of rectangle=11.5cm
