A. 13
b. 24
c, 20
d. 9

Now the real challenge is can you see how these are mental math all based off finding 10% of a number? Look at my answer to "a".. can you see that finding 10% of a number is equivalent to just shifting the decimal point to the left one place. This can be helpful for all the other problems.

For 'b', 30% of a number is just 3 times 10%
For 'c', since we want 80% of 25, we can just subtract 20% or 2 times 10% of 25 away.
For 'd', 15% is just 10% + 5% or 6 + 3 note once you find 10% of 60 to be 6, just take half of 6 to get 5%...Awesome..

Now go get those percent problems... Hope this helped

Which sum represents the partial fraction decomposition?
Alex Ar [27]

It's the last option again. You have 1 linear factor (3<em>x</em>) and 2 copies of a quadratic factor (<em>x</em>² + 10), and the partial fractions with the quadratic factor need to have a linear polynomial in the numerator.

A class has 4 boys and 10 girls. What is the ratio in simplest form that compares number of boys to total number of students?
Alenkinab [10]

C. The answer is C because the total amount of students is 14, and there are 4 boys, which makes the ratio 4 boys to 14 students in total. 4 and 14 are both divisable by 2, so divide 4 to get 2 and divide 14 to get 7. This leaves you with 2 and 7. The ratio would be 2 boys to 7 total students. Hope this helped
