Yes, there were huge plagues in Ancient Rome that caused all kind of devastation.....

One of the FIRST of the BIG plagues was the Antonine Plague, 165-180 AD, also known as the Plague of Galen, an ancient pandemic, whether of smallpox or measles, they are not sure, claimed the lives of TWO Roman emperors.

The disease broke out again 9 years later and caused up to 2,000 deaths a DAY at Rome, one quarter of those infected.

Total deaths have been estimated at five million.

Disease killed as much as one-third of the population in some areas, and decimated the Roman army.

This thing traveled far too, up into Gaul, all over Roman Europe.

The Plague of Justinian may have been the first instance of bubonic plague and was one of the causes of the Fall of the Roman Empire.

Smaller but no less deadlier plagues played havoc throughout the Roman Empire over many years.
Diseases from unkept Roman plumbing with the ground water mixing in with rain water.

dybincka [34]

Answer:

The creation of a Congress to carry out the will of the people.

Explanation:

Republicanism outlines the will of citizens of a nation, by choosing a representational government in which they elect representatives for a particular time, and laws are enacted by such representatives for the good of the nation as a whole, rather than choosing members of a ruling elite. It reflects the notion that a nation is governed by the will of people and the elected leaders will return original work after serving the republic for a fixed time as is the case of the United States of America.

In Rwanda, a farmer is hiding a group of persecuted Tutsis from a Hutu military commander. The farmer believes that he has to always tell the truth, and that this is a categorical imperative. If the Hutu commander asks if he has any hidden Tutsis, and he tells the truth, who is to blame for the Tutsis’ capture according to Kantian theory?

A. The farmer, because saving lives is more important than respecting duty.

B. The Tutsis who are hiding because it was unethical of them to take advantage of the farmer

C. The Rwandans who started the war that led to these circumstances

D. Hutu commander, because only he is responsible for his own decisions

Answer:

D. Hutu commander, because only he is responsible for his own decisions

Explanation:

Kantian theory is a philosophical ethical theory which is propounded by Immanuel Kant, a German Philosopher, the theory is based on the belief that the only intrinsically good thing is a good will.

In other words, an action can only be good if its main and only reason behind it, is duty to the moral law, such as saying the truth always.

The main idea to Kant's ideal of the moral law is the categorical imperative, which works on all people, regardless of their interests or desires

Hence, in this case, the farmer is having obeyed the moral law, which is categorically imperative, then it is the Hutu's commander that is to be blamed for the capture of Tutis, because he his responsible for his own decision, whether to let them go free or not.
