Yes, there were huge plagues in Ancient Rome that caused all kind of devastation.....

One of the FIRST of the BIG plagues was the Antonine Plague, 165-180 AD, also known as the Plague of Galen, an ancient pandemic, whether of smallpox or measles, they are not sure, claimed the lives of TWO Roman emperors.

The disease broke out again 9 years later and caused up to 2,000 deaths a DAY at Rome, one quarter of those infected.

Total deaths have been estimated at five million.

Disease killed as much as one-third of the population in some areas, and decimated the Roman army.

This thing traveled far too, up into Gaul, all over Roman Europe.

The Plague of Justinian may have been the first instance of bubonic plague and was one of the causes of the Fall of the Roman Empire.

Smaller but no less deadlier plagues played havoc throughout the Roman Empire over many years.

matrenka [14]

Answer:

Skinner

Explanation:

The operant conditioning was coined by the behaviorist BF Skinner, which is why you may occasionally hear it called skinnerian conditioning. As a behaviorist, Skinner believed that it was not really necessary to look at internal thoughts and motivations to explain behavior. Instead, he suggested, we should look only at the observable external causes of human behavior.

Based on these principles, Skinner created the operant conditioning chamber (aka Akinner box) is a device used to study the principles of operant conditioning.

On a cosmic calendar, in which the history of the universe is compressed into 1 year, when did the dinosaurs become extinct? On
Juli2301 [7.4K]

Answer:

On the 30th of December which equates to 0.065 billion years ago

Explanation:

The cosmic calendar was made popular by a famous astronomer named Carl Sagan. His aim was to help people to better understand when a particular prehistoric event in the universe occurred when compared to another prehistoric event.

He achieved the aim by chronologically arranging the 13.8 billion years of the universe age into one year. According to such arrangement, the Big Bang occurred on the 1st of January (13.8 billion years ago) while Dinosaurs went into extinction on the  30th of December (0.065 billion years ago).

Following their extinction, the age of primates began on the 31st of December (Just 40 million years ago). You can see that Carl Sagan's visualization puts the beginning of primates (which men evolved from) immediately after the extinction of Dinosaurs and very far away from the Big Bang that signifies the creation of the universe.

Mashcka [7]

Operant conditioning is the correct answer.

Operant conditioning, also referred to as instrumental conditioning, is a learning method that involves rewarding and punishing behaviors. So, rewarding someone can increase a specific behavior while punishing him/her can decrease this behavior. In this situation,  through operant conditioning, the teacher is trying to make Henry see that if he doesn't change his behavior, he will have to face the consequences.
