History

<span>The samurai, members of a powerful military caste in feudal Japan, began as provincial warriors before rising to power in the 12th century with the beginning of the country’s first military dictatorship, known as the shogunate. As servants of the daimyos, or great lords, the samurai backed up the authority of the shogun and gave him power over the mikado (emperor). The samurai would dominate Japanese government and society until the Meiji Restoration of 1868 led to the abolition of the feudal system. Despite being deprived of their traditional privileges, many of the samurai would enter the elite ranks of politics and industry in modern Japan. More importantly, the traditional samurai code of honor, discipline and morality known as bushido–or “the way of the warrior”–was revived and made the basic code of conduct for much of Japanese society.</span>

How did expansionism pave the way for world War 2
Sav [38]

The correct answer is the following.

<em>Expansionism paved the way for World War II in that countries involved maintained their foreign policy of expansionism and intervention in other nations. </em>

Victorious nations after World War I still divided some parts of Europe and made Germany pay for the damage done in the war. Countries such as Russia, Germany, Great Britain, and France still had economic and political interests in other countries and did not want to lose them. The Treaty of Versailles played a big role in the anger of Germany and his consequent participation of World War II.

Human exploration of unknown lands and environment actually dates back to ancient times. But in a modern sense, when we speak about European early exploration, we rather speak about the sea voyages by the Portuguese, the Dutch, and the Spanish in order to find new routes to Asia, starting in the 15th century. Maritime trips were expensive and uncertain;  the main goals of those expeditions were commercial.
