What is the Bushido Code and how did it impact the samurai?

History

<span>The samurai, members of a powerful military caste in feudal Japan, began as provincial warriors before rising to power in the 12th century with the beginning of the country’s first military dictatorship, known as the shogunate. As servants of the daimyos, or great lords, the samurai backed up the authority of the shogun and gave him power over the mikado (emperor). The samurai would dominate Japanese government and society until the Meiji Restoration of 1868 led to the abolition of the feudal system. Despite being deprived of their traditional privileges, many of the samurai would enter the elite ranks of politics and industry in modern Japan. More importantly, the traditional samurai code of honor, discipline and morality known as bushido–or “the way of the warrior”–was revived and made the basic code of conduct for much of Japanese society.</span>

james rents a computer for $40. the next day, the computer cost $55. what is the rate of change? Please show all work
kykrilka [37]

Based on the rental cost of the computer and the increase in the rent the next day, the rate of change was 37.5%.

<h3 /><h3>How to find the rate of change?</h3>

The rate of change simply refers to how the price of the rent of the computer had changed from the day that James rented it, to the next day.

The rate of change can be found by the formula:

= (New rental cost of computer - Rental cost to James) / Rental cost to James x 100%

Solving for the rate of change gives:

= (55 - 40) / 40 x 100%

= 15 / 40 x 100%

= 37.5%
