Answer:

35 cans of green beans costs about $51.45

Step-by-step explanation:

First, we find the cost for one can of green beans.

We do that by dividing the number of cans by cost.

So,

5 ÷ 3.4 = $1.47

So one can of beans costs $1.47

Now we find for 35 cans.

$35 × 1.47 = $51.45

natima [27]

Answer:

56

Step-by-step explanation:

It says that Maya makes one dollar more for each book that she sells so if she sells 13 books, she will make 13 dollars more than her weekly earning which is 43 dollars.  So to find the answer, you would need to add 13 + 43 which would equal 56 dollars.

Which is the equation of the line that passes through the points (-4, 8) and (1, 3)?
ELEN [110]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Marina,  everyone has a tough time with this type of math problem,   just send me a note if you get stuck on these.   :P

You're given two points,

P1 = (-4,8)  in the form (x1,y1)

P2 = (1,3)   in the form (x2,y2)   ( I made the forms, so can you )

slope = m

m = (y2-y1) / (x2-x1)

m = (3-8) / ( 1 - (-4))

m = -5 / (1 + 4)

m = -5 / 5

m = -1

now use the point-slope formula

y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-(8) = -1(x-(-4))

y-8 = -1(x+4)

y-8 = -x -4

y = -x-4+8

y = -x +4

That's the equation  :P
