Both MLK and Rosa Parks taught not only African Americans, but also Caucasian Americans that that they both can coexist. However, during those times most of the Caucasians still did not want to listen, same as the African Americans. Nowadays this topic is very sensitive and is taught briefly in school and often only told one side of the story.
