Does anyone have any advice on how to write this essay? I don't even know where to start
Lena [83]

Answer:

"I open the car door and call out to them 45 minutes before it's time to get on the road. I then sit back and watch the X Games/ WWE matches that are surely to unfold as my 7 children and the poor dog eventually make their way to the vehicle. "We'll look at this..." I point out to no one in particular. "They're only 30 seconds past the 45 minute headstart that I gave them." And we're off still later than was planned, of course."

Explanation:

This is just one of the many stories I've told my friends and family as it pertains to being a mother of 7. That's 6 boys and 1 girl. Time nor age make your children move on schedule. LoL

*Start with action or dialogue.

*Ask a question or set of questions.

*Describe the setting so readers can imagine it.

*Give background information that will interest readers.

*Introduce yourself to readers in a surprising way

I hope this helps. This was a state to state road trip my husband and I took with our squad.

A. person- igication
B. alliteration
C. idiom
Naddika [18.5K]

Answer: A) Personification

Explanation:

The winter weather isn't a person, but the author is making it seem like the cold wind is from Jack Frost's breath. So the author is making the wind or just cold weather in general seem like a person of sorts, or part of a person's traits. Personification is the act of turning any inanimate object or non-human thing to have human traits. Hence the "person" in "personification".

Other examples of personification are sentences like:

 • The tree danced in the wind
 • The river swallowed more ground as the water rose more rapidly
 • Time flies when you're having fun
 • The ocean lashed angrily at the beach.

I'm sure you can probably come up with more creative examples or look them up elsewhere to get a better grasp on how personification works.

I may not have the greatest job in the world, but at least I'm not unemployed like Mark, would be an example of a(n) social attr
Shtirlitz [24]
I would say this would classify as a downward comparison as the person is talking about Mark who has a poorer job situation than him and this could be used to bolster the speaker's ego or to knock poor Mark or could just be an observation.
