Answer:

The chance that the couple's first child will have cysitc fibrosis is equal to  0.005

Explanation:

The probability of man having cystic fibrosis is equal to 100 percent

The probability of his wife having cystic fibrosis is equal to  \frac{1}{50}

In case if both have them allele for cystic fibrosis, then the probability of their children having a child with cystic fibrosis

\frac{1}{4}

The chance that the couple's first child will have cysitc fibrosis is equal to

1* \frac{1}{50} *\frac{1}{4} \\= \frac{1}{200}\\= 0.005

Facilitated diffusion. It is a passive transport mechanism in which carrier proteins shuttle molecules across the cell membrane without using the cell’s energy supplies. Instead, the energy is provide by the concentration gradient, which means that molecules are transported from higher to lower concentrations, into or out of the cell. The carrier proteins bind to glucose, which causes them to change shape and translocate the glucose from one side of the membrane to the other. Red blood cells use facilitated diffusion to absorb glucose.

<span>The correct answer is 'secondary consumer’. This is because the yellowfin tuna eats herbivorous fish (these are primary consumers - they only eat plants, which are producers) and take refuge from predators. This shows they are not tertiary consumers, as tertiary consumers are at the top of the food chain.</span>
