 In  an  atom  electron travels   outside the  nucleus.

   electrons  travels  around   the nucleus   in  orbital  but   it is impossible  to  know  both  the speed  and  location  of electron  at the  same time.  Unlike the  proton and neutrons   which are  located inside the nucleus   electrons  are  located  outside the nucleus.

Explain what interaction is in the hydrogen fluoride (HF) and hydrogen chlori de (H CI) Which one do you expect to have a higher
djyliett [7]

Explanation:

Part A

Boiling point of HF is much higher as compared to the boiling point of HCl.

Reason:

The strongest inter molecular hydrogen bonding exist between HF molecules This is due to highly electronegative Fluorine atom.

Part B

The type of bonding present in the given compounds are:

1. Ice

The water molecules in ice are linked to each other through intermolecular hydrogen bonding due to the presence of electronegative oxygen atom that is attached to hydrogen atom.

2. Copper dioxide

In  Copper dioxide, Copper and oxide ions are linked to each other via electrostatic force of attraction due to the presence of electronegative Oxygen atom and electropositive Cu atom.

Therefore, ionic bond is present in it.

3. Steel

In steel, metal and negatively charged electrons are linked to each other, thus giving rise to metallic bond between steel molecules.

4. Silicon elastomer

In silicon elastomer, Silicon atom is linked to other atom via covalent bonds due to sharing of electrons.

5. Tungsten

In the case of tungsten also, atoms are bonded to each other via metallic bond.

1. Moby travels down a halfpipe on his skateboard in five seconds. His speed at the bottom is 10 m/s. What was his
pshichka [43]

The acceleration of Moby is 2 m/s²

<u>Explanation:</u>

Given:

Time, t = 5 seconds

Velocity, v = 10 m/s

Acceleration ,a = ?

We know:

Acceleration = \frac{velocity}{time}

On substituting the value we get:

a = \frac{10}{5} \\\\a = 2 m/s^2

Therefore, the acceleration of Moby is 2 m/s²

What volume of water has a mass of 1 kg
ruslelena [56]

Answer:

V=0.001\ m^3

Explanation:

Mass, m = 1 kg

The density of water, d = 1000 kg/m³

We need to find the volume of water. The formula for the density of an object is equal to mass divided by volume. Its formula is :

d = m/V

V is the volume of water

V=\dfrac{m}{d}\\\\V=\dfrac{1\ kg}{1000\ kg/m^3}\\\\=0.001\ m^3

So, the volume of water is 0.001\ m^3.
