<u>Explanation</u><u>:</u>

1 and 3 are congruent and so are 2 and 4. (Congruent means they have the same degrees.)

Sense we know <2 is 73 degrees let's break it up. 1 and 2 are on the same line, (a line is equal to 180.) So if we take <2 sense we know the degree is 73-180=<u>107</u><u> </u> <u>.</u> We do this so we can find the other angles degree.

<u>Answer</u><u>:</u>

<1 and <3 are 73 degrees.

<2 and <4 are 107 degrees.

That's a trapezoid,

A = \frac 1 2 (b+B)h

A = \frac 1 2 (4+12) 4 = 32

Answer: 32

But say we didn't know the formula. We can chop out the 4 by 4 square and we have two 45/45/90 triangles side 4 left over, so two 4 by 4 squares,

A = 2(4)(4) = 32

We can think of this as 12 by 4 rectangle with two 4 by 4 right triangles chopped out:

A = 12(4) - 2(1/2)(4)(4) = 48 - 16 = 32

I need help with this in math right now I'm struggling
kaheart [24]

Answer:

y=-4x-2

Step-by-step explanation:

linear function, y = mx+c

the y intercept of the graph,c, is -2

thus y = mx - 2

substitute a point on the graph into the equation, (2,-1)

2 = m(-1) -2

m = - 4

thus equation of graph is y = -4x-2

Graph the function by first finding its zeroes. <br> y = x3- 2x2 + x
CaHeK987 [17]

Answer:

The zeros of the function are;

x = 0 and x = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

The zeroes of the function simply imply that we find the values of x for which the corresponding value of y is 0.

We let y be 0 in the given equation;

y = x^3 - 2x^2 + x

x^3 - 2x^2 + x = 0

We factor out x since x appears in each term on the Left Hand Side;

x ( x^2 - 2x + 1) = 0

This implies that either;

x = 0 or

x^2 - 2x + 1 = 0

We can factorize the equation on the Left Hand Side by determining two numbers whose product is 1 and whose sum is -2. The two numbers by trial and error are found to be -1 and -1. We then replace the middle term by these two numbers;

x^2 -x -x +1 = 0

x(x-1) -1(x-1) = 0

(x-1)(x-1) = 0

x-1 = 0

x = 1

Therefore, the zeros of the function are;

x = 0 and x = 1

The graph of the function is as shown in the attachment below;
