Nixon was looking to withdraw the American Troops from Vietnam. he however was not willing to destroy American image that it had lost the war and thus he sought to make treaties with Hanoi.
These treaties were futile and eventually North Vietnam took over the south as empowering south Vietnam soldiers did not work. The withdrawal of american troops however was a success, and the bombardment of north Vietnam cities worked. the only difficult was with the weaked unpopular south soldiers.

hram777 [196]
Chivalry. It's not really behavior so much as "I'm more powerful than you and I want your daughter, give me your daughter or I'll kill you", but your history teacher will want the answer chivalry, so I suggest you answer that, lol.
