Just save the picture of the math problem to your computer, then when u ask your question, u will see 3 buttions, click the paperclip button to upload the math problem and let it load, sometimes it will load, sometimes not, so ur going to have to click the edit button when your question is on the list, and than click the paperclip button again to upload it one more time and than it will work, u need to hurry up and do it b4 someone answers it and u wont be able to edit it.

Answer:

4.  35 times larger

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>Doing Question #4 Only</em>

<em />

4.

Before we see this problem's solution. Lets get a background.

Suppose something has an area of "A" sq. meters.

and

Suppose another land has an area of "B" sq. meters.

and suppose A > B

If we want to know how many times A is larger than B, we simply have to divide the larger one (A) by the smaller one (B).

Now, onto our question:

We want to know how many times larger the national is than state park. So we divide the area of national by the area of state. That would be:

\frac{7*10^8}{2*10^7}

<em>Since the numbers are in scientific notation, we look at the rule below on how to divide scientific notation numbers:</em>

<em>\frac{a*10^b}{c*10^d}=(\frac{a}{c})*10^{b-d}</em>

<em />

<em>Now, we apply the rule:</em>

<em>\frac{7*10^8}{2*10^7}\\=\frac{7}{2}*10^{8-7}\\=3.5*10^1\\=3.5*10\\=35</em>

<em />

So, the national park is 35 times larger than the state park.

Write the equation of the circumference that meets the condition: Center on the line: x -4y = 1 And it passes through the points
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Answer:

(x + 3)² + (y + 1)² = 100

Step-by-step explanation:

Equation of a circle is:

(x − h)² + (y − k)² = r²

where (h, k) is the center of the circle and r is the radius.

The center is on the line x − 4y = 1, so:

h − 4k = 1

h = 1 + 4k

(x − 1 − 4k)² + (y − k)² = r²

Two points on the line are (3, 7) and (5, 5), so:

(3 − 1 − 4k)² + (7 − k)² = r²

(5 − 1 − 4k)² + (5 − k)² = r²

Set the equations equal:

(3 − 1 − 4k)² + (7 − k)² = (5 − 1 − 4k)² + (5 − k)²

(2 − 4k)² + (7 − k)² = (4 − 4k)² + (5 − k)²

4 − 16k + 16k² + 49 − 14k + k² = 16 − 32k + 16k² + 25 − 10k + k²

4 − 16k + 49 − 14k = 16 − 32k + 25 − 10k

53 − 30k = 41 − 42k

12k = -12

k = -1

h = 1 + 4k

h = -3

(3 − 1 − 4k)² + (7 − k)² = r²

(3 − 1 + 4)² + (7 + 1)² = r²

6² + 8² = r²

r = 10

Therefore, the equation of the circle is:

(x + 3)² + (y + 1)² = 10²

3. Segment GE is an angle bisector of both
777dan777 [17]

ΔHGE and ΔFGE are congruent by the Angle-Side-Angle Congruence Theorem (ASA).

<em><u>Recall:</u></em>

  • A segment that divides an angle into equal parts is known as an angle bisector.
  • Two triangles are congruent by the ASA Congruence Theorem if they share a common side and have two pairs of congruent angles.

In the diagram given, Angle bisector, GE, divides ∠HEF into congruent angles,  ∠HEG ≅ ∠GEF.

Also divides ∠FGH into congruent angles, ∠HGE ≅ ∠FGE.

Both triangles also share a common side, GE

<em>This implies that: ΔHGE and ΔFGE have:</em>

two pairs of congruent angles - ∠HEG ≅ ∠GEF and ∠HGE ≅ ∠FGE

a shared side - GE

Therefore, ΔHGE and ΔFGE are congruent by the Angle-Side-Angle Congruence Theorem (ASA).
