So we need to compare them at the sam ounches

find the least common multiple (the smallest number that they will both multiply into)

first find the factors and group them all together, delete any repeats

6=2*3
8=2*2*2

least common multiple=2*2*2*3=24

so 6 bags=2.46
multiply by 4 to get 24
24 bags=9.84

so 8 bags=3.20
multply by 3
24 bags=9.60

9.84>9.60 so

the 8 ounce bag is less expensive

3. In triangle ABC, m<BAC = 4x + 10, m<ABC = 5x + 18, and m<BCA = 3x - 16.
(a) Find the value of x.
(b) Find th
belka [17]

(a) Find the value of x.

Sum of interior in a triangle = 180

So m<BAC + m<ABC + m<BCA = 180

4x + 10 + 5x + 18 + 3x - 16 = 180

12x + 12 = 180

12x = 168

 x = 14

(b) Find the measure of <3.

<3 + <BCA = 180

<BCA = 3x - 16 = 3(14) - 16 = 26°

So

<3 = 180 - <BCA

<3 = 180 - 26

<3 = 154°

PO has endpoints at P(-5.4) and Q(7-5). What is the length of PQ?
castortr0y [4]

Answer:

Explanation:

If line segments PQ has endpoints at P(-5, 4) and Q(7, -5).

To determine the length of the line, we use the distance formula:

\begin{gathered} Distance=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2} \\ \text{Where:} \\ $$\mleft(x_1,y_1\mright)=P\mleft(-5,4\mright)$$ \\ (x_2,y_2)=Q\mleft(7,-5\mright). \end{gathered}

Substituting the given values, we have:

Annilee's present age is two-thirds of Jessie's present age. In 14 years the sum of their ages will be 103 years. Find their pre
Butoxors [25]

The present age of Annillee, which is two-thirds of Jessie's present age, is 30 years, while Jessie's is 45 years.

How are the ages determined?

Their present ages can be determined using a system of equations as below.

Data and Calculations:

Let the present age of Annilee = ²/₃y

Let the present of Jessie = y

Ages of Annilee and Jessie in 14 years:

Annilee's age = ²/₃y + 14

Jessie's age = y + 14

Sum of their ages in 14 years = ²/₃y + 14 + y + 14

= 103

²/₃y + 14 + y + 14 = 103

²/₃y + y = 75

1²/₃y = 75

y = 75/1²/₃

y = 75/5 x 3

y = 45

Present Ages:

Annilee = ²/₃y = ²/₃ x 45 = 30 years

Jessie = y = 45

Check:

²/₃ x 45 + 14 = 44

45 + 14 = 59

Sum of ages in 14 years = 103 (59 + 44) or (30 + 14 + 45 + 14)

Thus, at present, Annilee's age is 30 years, while Jessie is 45 years.
