Answer:

A. an easy decision for an economist, but a difficult decision for a physicist or a chemist.

Explanation:

Assumption refers to an unconfirmed facts.

Economics is the scientific study of human behavior in relation to ends and scarce means which have alternative uses. A person who studies economics is called an Economist.

Physics is the study of properties and interaction of space, time, matter and energy. A person who Study physics is a physicists.

Chemistry is the study of composition of substances and the changes they undergo as a consequences of alteration in the constituents of their molecules. A person who studies chemistry is called a chemist.

Both physicist and chemist makes use of experiment to deduce a facts. It is difficult for them to assume a facts until experiment has been carried out.

On the other hand, economist usually based their judgement on assumptions. It is very difficult for an economist to carry out an experiment to deduce their fact because they deal with human behavior which is different from person to person.

Based on the definition of assumption above, it can be deduced that Physicist and chemist have confirmed facts from performing experiment while an economist deals with unconfirmed facts.

Cherokee Inc. is a merchandiser that provided the following information: Number of units sold 14,000 Selling price per unit $ 16
DanielleElmas [232]

Answer:

Results are below.

Explanation:

First, we need to calculate the cost of goods sold:

COGS= beginning finished inventory + cost of goods purchased - ending finished inventory

COGS= 12,000 + 87,000 - 23,000

COGS= $76,000

Traditional format income statement:

Sales= 14,000*16= 224,000

COGS= (76,000)

Gross profit= 148,000

Total selling expense= (20,000 + 14,000*1)= (34,000)

Total administrative expense= (13,000 + 14,000*1)= (27,000)

Net operating income= 87,000

Contribution format income statement:

Sales= 14,000*16= 224,000

Total variable cost= (76,000 + 14,000 + 14,000)= (104,000)

Contribution margin= 120,000

Total fixed selling expense= (20,000)

Total fixed administrative expense= (13,000)

Net operating income= 87,000

you have $6000 to invest in two stock funds. The first fund pays 5% annual interest and the second account pays 9% annual intere
stira [4]

Answer:

Amount of money invested is $2,000 and $4,000

Explanation:

In this question, we are asked to calculate how much was invested in two different accounts given the amount of money invested in both accounts.

Let the amount of money invested in both accounts be a and b respectively.

Mathematically;

A + B = 6000 ......I

Now we use the formula for simple interest to check the amount that is supposed to be made on Both accounts if he end of a year.

Formula for simple interest is I = PRT/100

Let’s apply this to what is on ground:

5*1* a/100 = 5a/100

Second is

9*b*1/100 = 9b/100

That is 5a + 9b = 38,000. ........ii

Solving Both simultaneously as follows:

Let A = 6000-b from 1

Substitute this into 2

5(6000-b) + 9b = 38,000

30,000 -5b + 9b = 38,000

4b = 8,000

b =$2000

This means a would be 6000 - 2,000 = $4000
