we have

1) The line passes through (0,2)

2) The slope is equal to \frac{2}{3}

we know that

If a point lies on the graph of the line, then the point must satisfy the equation of the line

Step 1

<u>Find the equation of the line</u>

we know that

the equation of the line in point-slope form is equal to

y-y1=m*(x-x1)

we have

(x1,y1)=(0,2)

m=\frac{2}{3}

substitute in the equation

y-2=\frac{2}{3}*(x-0)

y=\frac{2}{3}x+2

we will proceed to verify each of the points to determine the solution of the problem

If a point lies on the graph of the line, then the point must satisfy the equation of the line and the equation will be true for the point

Step 2

Point (-3,0)

Substitute the value of x and y in the equation of the line

0=\frac{2}{3}*(-3)+2

0=-2+2

0=0 -------> is true

therefore

the point  (-3,0) lies on the line

Step 3

Point (-2,-3)

Substitute the value of x and y in the equation of the line

-3=\frac{2}{3}*(-2)+2

-3=-\frac{4}{3}+2

-3=\frac{2}{3} ------> is false

therefore

the point (-2,-3) not lies on the line

Step 4

Point (2,5)

Substitute the value of x and y in the equation of the line

5=\frac{2}{3}*(2)+2

5=\frac{4}{3}+2

5=\frac{10}{3} ------> is false

therefore

the point (2,5) not lies on the line

Step 5

Point (3,4)

Substitute the value of x and y in the equation of the line

4=\frac{2}{3}*(3)+2

4=2+2

4=4 ------> is True

therefore

the point (3,4) lies on the line

Step 6

Point (6,6)

Substitute the value of x and y in the equation of the line

6=\frac{2}{3}*(6)+2

6=4+2

6=6 ------> is True

therefore

the point (6,6) lies on the line

therefore

<u>the answer is</u>

Vera could use the points

the point  (-3,0)

the point (3,4)

the point (6,6)

using a graphing tool

Sandeep used 8 litres of fuel to travel 76 miles.
OleMash [197]

Answer:

I got, when calculated, 209 miles. (It may be wrong)

Step-by-step explanation:

First, I calculated how many miles can Sandeep travel with 1L, therefore I divided 76 miles by 8L and got 9.5 miles on 1L.

Then I multiplied 9.2 miles by 22L and got 209 miles.

This may be wrong but if anyone else is able to work it out much appreciated if it's correct.. Your most welcome!

MULTIPLE CHOICE<br> What is LM?<br> 3x + 5<br> 4x + 7<br> LN = 33 cm
FromTheMoon [43]

Answer:

C. 14

Step-by-step explanation:

Add LM and MN

(3x + 5) + (4x + 7)

(4x + 3x) + (5 + 7)

7x + 12

As we know the total is 33

So,

7x + 12 = 33

Subtract 12 from 33, which gives me 21

Now,

7x = 21

To make x alone, divide both sides by 7, and then we will get x = 3

If x = 3

LM = 3x + 5

= (3*3) + 5

= 9 + 5

= 14

Diviving mixed numbers<br> 2 1/2 divide by 1 1/7
Olenka [21]
I'm going to change those to 5/2 and 8/7
Dividing is the same multiplying by the reciprocal (reciprocal of x is 1/x, reciprocal of x/y is y/x)
So (5/2)/(8/7)=(5/2)*(7/8)=(5*7)/(2*8)=35/16
Final answer: 35/16

Please help me with this in the math book it says “a triangle has two sides that are perpendicular. Could the triangle be isosce
Irina-Kira [14]
The triangle could be isosceles or scalene. It cannot be equilateral since all angles in that triangle would be 60 degrees. This prevents two sides from being perpendicular. Hope this helps!
