The correct answer is C) Softened the daily brutality of a warlike society.

The positive effect might the rules of chivalry had on feudal society was that they softened the daily brutality of a warlike society.

The rules of Chivalry was a moral code system that went beyond the rules of combat that included honor, courtesy, bravery, and good manners with women.

The King owned big portions of land in the feudalist system established by Charlemagne. In this feudal system. the King could grant land to the knight in exchange for military service and loyalty. These knights served in the King's Army because they were true warriors and that is how they made a living. So knights benefited from the king's payment in different forms such as lodge, land, weapons, and horses.
