Answer:

D. 15

Step-by-step explanation:

For this case we can begin finding the number of ways in order to select two different books for Monday and Wednesday. We know that Jill can select a book on Monday in six different ways snce she has a total of 6 books. And for Wednesday, she need another book so then can select any of the five remaining books, and the total number of ways would be:

N= 6 × 5 = 30 ways.

We are going to assume that the order no matter. If she select a book A and then another B is the same if she select first the book B and then the book A. We are interested inthe possible pairs, and if the order no matter then the total possible pairs are:

Pairs = 30 / 2 = 15

So then the best answer would be D. 15

We can also find the solution using combinations. We have a total of 6 nooks, and we want to select two so then we hav C(6, 2) ways to select two. We need to remember that the formula for combinatories is given by:

nCx = C(n,x) = \frac{n!}{x! (n-x)!}

Where n! = n * (n-1)!

And if we replace the values we got this:

6C2= C(6, 2) = \frac{6!}{2! (6-2)!}=\frac{6!}{2! 4!}=\frac{6*5*4!}{2! 4!}= 15

And as we can see we got the same solution from the previous part.

Which point-slope equation represents a line that passes through (3, –2) with a slope of -4/5?
alexira [117]

Answer:

y+2=-\frac{4}{5}(x-3)

C is correct equation.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given a point and slope of a line. Using point slope form formula to find the equation of line and match the correct option.

Formula:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

where,

slope (m)=-\frac{4}{5}

Point:(x_1,y_1)\rightarrow (3,-2)

Equation of line:

y-(-2)=-\frac{4}{5}(x-3)

y+2=-\frac{4}{5}(x-3)

Thus, C is correct equation of given information.

F(which is the first term of both factors): 4*sqrt(7)
O(outside terms of both factors first and last) 4*sqrt(2)
I (Inside terms 2nd and 3rd) = - sqrt(3) sqrt(7) = - sqrt(21)
L (Last term in each of the factors) - sqrt(3)*sqrt(2) = - sqrt(6)

Combine terms: 4*sqrt(7) + 4*sqrt(2) - sqrt(21) - sqrt(6) <<<< answer.

What number is equivalent to the expanded form (2 x 100) + (3 x 1) + (4 x 1/10) + (3 x 1/1,000
nikitadnepr [17]

The equivalent number to the given expanded form is 203.403

<u>Step-by-step explanation</u>:

To find the equivalent number of the expanded form, Use BODMAS rule.

B - bracket

O - of

D - division

M - multiplication

A - addition

S - subtraction

In the given equation, look for the BODMAS order to solve the expanded form:

<u>step 1</u>: solve the numbers inside the bracket.

(2*100)+(3*1)+(4*1/10)+(3*1/1000) = 200 + 3 + 4/10 + 3/1000

<u>step 2</u>: In the order of BODMAS, division comes before addition. So, Division has to be given priority and then addition should be performed.

200 + 3 + 0.4 + 0.003 = 203.403
