Answer:

Martin Van Buren and Vice President John C. Calhoun laid the foundations of the Democratic Party

Explanation:

In 1824, with four major candidates running for President as members of only one national party, Jackson had won a plurality both of the electoral vote and of the popular vote from among the 18 states whose voters chose Presidential electors. However, with the open support of House Speaker Henry Clay, Adams won the subsequent contingent election in the House of Representatives under the Twelfth Amendment. Many Jackson supporters perceived that his loss, though Constitutional, was unfair and contrary to the popular will, accusing Adams and Clay of having reached a "corrupt bargain" in which Clay helped Adams win the contingent election in return for the position of Secretary of State. Intensifying political rivalry between supporters and opponents of Jackson fractured the once-dominant Democratic-Republican Party. Jackson and allies such as Martin Van Buren and Vice President John C. Calhoun laid the foundations of the Democratic Party, while supporters of Adams and other Jackson opponents rallied around the President, calling themselves National Republicans

We tend to assume people are responsible for their own troubles because our way of life in the United States emphasizes ________
Hoochie [10]

Your question is missing the options. I've found the complete question online. It is as follows:

We tend to assume people are responsible for their own troubles because our way of life in the United States emphasizes:

a. collective goals.

b. individualism.

c. tradition.

d. relying on luck.

Answer:

The correct answer is letter B. individualism.

Explanation:

Individualism is an ideology that emphasizes the worth of the individual over the collectivity. Societies based upon this belief tend to greatly oppose external interference, defending the individual's right to be herself, to pursue her own interests, and to be independent. A downside of such belief, however, is society's tendency to blame individuals for their own troubles. Since people are free to act and pursue whatever they wish, it is easy to see their problems as nothing but results of their own actions and decisions.

Effective delivery is quite different from everyday conversation in that it relies on theatrical, stylized gestures.
Sati [7]

The answer in the statement provided is false. Effective delivery is not different from everyday conversation as effective delivery is important in every day conversations as this is a way of having to represent oral presentations and to be able to have a better effect or to have a better delivery of words.
