Dizziness is usually caused by an upset in the balance centers of the inner ear, which is called vestibular system. This is where balance is regulated. Upsetting the vestibular balance results in brief and intense sensation of spinning. Dizziness is often initiated by rapid change in head movements. An individual may also experience dizziness because of pregnancy, headache, low or high blood pressure, etc.
