What is the diameter of the circle whose center is at (6, 0) and that passes through the point (2, -3)?

Mathematics

4 0

Answer:

10

Step-by-step explanation:

\left(x-h\right)^{2}+\left(y-k\right)^{2}=r^2

\left(x-6\right)^{2}+\left(y-0\right)^{2}=r^2\\

We used (2,-3)

\left(2-6\right)^{2}+\left(-3-0\right)^{2}=25

r^2=25\\ , so r = 5

But this one is asking for the diameter, and to find it. It's simply 2r.

2*5 = 10

Daniel dives into a swimming pool. The height of his head is represented by the function h(t) = -8t2 - 28t + 60, where t is the
8_murik_8 [283]
So, h(t) is how far is Daniel's head from the surface of the water, namely the surface itself is when the height is nill, so his head is at the surface and the height of it is just 0, thus h(t)  = 0.  Namely, what is "t" when h(t) is 0?

\bf h(t)=-8t^2-28t+60\implies \stackrel{h(t)}{0}=-8t^2-28t+60
\\\\\\
0=-2t^2-7t+15\implies 2t^2+7t-15=0\implies (2t+3)(t-5)=0
\\\\\\
\begin{cases}
2t+3=0\implies 2t=-3\implies &t=-\frac{3}{2}\\\\
t-5=0\implies &\boxed{t=5}
\end{cases}

clearly the seconds cannot be a negative unit, so is not -3/2.

Look at the graph below measuring the speed of a truck and answers the following 2 question.
NemiM [27]
X would be equal to time and y be equal to distance

The y axis would be measuring distance and the x axis would be measuring time. Another name for a speed graph is the distance time graph. The y axis would be measuring the distance covered by the truck in meters and the x axis would be for the time it takes to reach that distance in second.

B) 2-6 would represent contact motion, meaning the vehicle is at rest. The time would be increasing from 2-6 to however the distance remains the same which is 20m
