Answer:

Forming, storming, Norming, Performing and adjourning stage

Explanation:

There are five sequence of stages in team development. They are;

1) Forming stage

The forming stage is the orientation stage where team members try to get information about the team and also get familiar with how the team works.

2) Storming stage

The storming stage as the name implies is the obstacle stage where team members disagree on so many matters. Each team member has a unique personalty, so disagreement is bound to occur before they can agree.

Individual differences must be put into consideration and a concensus be reached to overcome this stage.

3) Norming stage

After overcoming the storming stage, there is the need to choose the leader(s). The norming stage is a stage where leaders are chosen and leadership roles are developed. It is characterised by some degree of unity among members.

4) Performing stage

This is a mature stage of team development where cooperation and unity exist among team members. Every team member is now dedicated to achieving the team's goals and objectives. Though disagreement may still arise but it is handled in a matured way.

5) Adjourning stage

This is the stage where the team's aims and objectives has been achieved. Team members are acknowledged for their efforts in this stage. Result are documented before dissolving the team.

Estée Lauder would not choose to sell to CVS or Dollar General since its clients would not expect to shop at those stores for top of the line makeup. Rather, CVS may convey less costly cosmetic brands, as Revlon and Maybelline.

Assume that sales are predicted to be $4,000, the expected contribution margin is $1,720, and a net loss of $280 is anticipated.
Alexeev081 [22]

Answer:

e)  $4,651

Explanation:

The break-even point is the level of activity that a company must operate to have its total cost equal to its total revenue. At this level of activity, the business makes a zero profit, as the total contribution is exactly the same as the total fixed cost.

It is important for the business to have an idea of the number of customers or units of product to sell inorder for it to cover its total fixed cost. This is the information the break-point analysis seeks to provide.

Working it out

Break-point in sales = Total General fixed cost/ Contribution margin ratio

Contribution margin ratio (CMR): Contribution is sales less variable costs. And the contribution margin ratio is the proportion of sales that is earned as contribution. The higher the better.

CMR = contribution/sales

Fixed cost = Contribution + net loss

We can now apply all these relationships to the question given:

Fixed cost = 1720 + 280

                 = 4,000

Contribution margin ratio = 1720/400 = 43%

Break-even sales ($) = 4000/0.43

                                        = $4,651

ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

a. unethical

Explanation:

This company's behavior is unethical. In the globalized world, it is natural for transnational firms to direct their production structure to countries where labor is cheaper, as this makes their product more competitive in the international market. However, these firms must not take advantage of regulatory failures in the labor market in these countries to increase their profit. Every firm must be concerned and ensure that the physical integrity and health of employees who work on its plants is preserved, regardless of location. Thus, in order to act ethically, this firm should implement process improvements to minimize the exposure of employees to chemical agents and to inhibit the exploitation of the labor that occurs when employees work in excess and without being paid for overtime.
