World War 2 began because of Germany's invasion of Poland. After Poland was invaded, Britain and France declared war on Germany.

The main countries involved were the U.S., Great Britain, France, the Soviet Union, Germany, and Japan. Some of the main people in the war were Adolf Hitler (Germany), Benito Mussolini (Italy) , Winston Churchill (Britain), and Joseph Stalin (soviet union). One main event in the war was the bombing of pearl harbor, which was why the U.S. entered the war.
