Answer: at first, a child's morality is externally controlled by adults.

Freud believed that young children form a conscience by identifying with the same-sex parent. Then, they adopt their same moral standards. He believed moral development was then largely complete by age 5 or 6.

Most researchers now disagree with this view, and they instead believe that fear of punishment and loss of love motivate moral behaviour in children. Therefore, children's morality is largely externally controlled by adults.

The dating violence often presents as a cyclical pattern of tension-building violent episodes and calm

The Dating violence is the cyclical pattern of emotional, physical, verbal or sexual abuse that occurs in a relationship, whether straight or gay relationships; and it's commonly depicted by an abuser and a "victim". It is characterized for having three repetitive states:

 1. The "calm or honeymoon" stage: In here, the abuser tends to be affectionate and caring somehow, tends to buy presents or give some sort of attention, makes promises and they ask for forgiveness for any wrong they did or may deny that the abuse happened.
 2. The "tension building" stage: The abuser may act jealous, possessive, isolate the other person from other people, pick fights with the victim, criticize him or her, threaten to hurt the victim, someone they care or themselves if the victim doesn't do what the abuser wants, and has mood swings.
 3. The violent stage: The abuser uses force to hurt the victim in any way: Shoving, Punching, Slapping, pinching, hitting, kicking, hair pulling; may destroy possessions, may use a weapon, yell, insult, etc.

sveticcg [70]

The aspect of the definition of happiness that gives the impression that it is a long-term state rather than a brief mood that we experience from time to time is subjective wellbeing.

Happiness is a state of wellbeing involving satisfaction in the pleasant, good, and meaningful aspects of life.

Happiness can either be a long-term state or a brief mood depending on the satisfaction rate.

If happiness is given an expression that is long-term, it is known as subjective wellbeing since it is a term for life satisfaction and happiness.
