An externality takes place when an action which is being conducted attending an individual interest, has an effect on other third parties (this effect can be either positive or negative).

Improving the appearance of the property is considered a good externality, as it supposes an upgrade for the area in which is embodied. An improved property enhances its market value but also the market values of the surrounding properties of the neighbours.

aleksklad [387]

Answer:

C) Some individual insects are more likely than others to survive and reproduce due to their inherited traits.

Explanation:

Insects are known for their ability to develop resistance to insecticides. Currently there are insects resistant to every synthetic chemical insecticide used. There are many factors to developing resistance, for example:

 • many insects species produce large broods. This increases the probability of mutations and ensures the rapid expansion of resistant populations.
 • Insects with shorter life times develop resistance more quickly than others because its genetics make them reproduce much faster.
 • insects with limited diets are more likely to evolve resistance, because they are exposed to higher pesticide concentrations and has less opportunity to breed with unexposed populations.

But this kind of phenomenon has not only observed in insects in England, rats in certain areas have evolved resistance that allows them to consume up to five times as much rat poison as normal rats without dying.

Social isolation peaks in _____ and late adulthood.
DENIUS [597]

Given what we know about social isolation, we can confirm that is peaks in early and late adulthood.

Social isolation is commonly described as the lack of social connections with other humans. It often results in increased feelings of loneliness for the individual in question. Social isolation can result in both mental and physical consequences, the most notable being depression and loss of appetite.

Studies have shown that social isolation peaks during early adulthood. Early adulthood is a time of change for most individuals. It is an age of re discovery, when one usually finishes high school and tends to drift apart from the social connections they are accustomed to, and can often struggle to forge new connections.

Likewise, social isolation is common during late adulthood, when an individual nears the biological end of their lifespan. For these reasons we can confirm that social isolation is said to peak during early and late adulthood.
