Answer:

The best answer to the question: Which explorer searched for the Northwest passage to Asia for England, would be: John Cabot, in 1497.

Explanation:

After the discovery of the Americas, and especially after several expeditions, several of the European powers wished to learn about the possibility of sailing towards the Pacific, since up to that point it was believed that it was impossible to cross the entire North American continent to reach from the Atlantic, to the Pacific. In 1497, King Henry VII commissioned John Cabot to attempt that feat to seek passage through the northern waterways towards the East, and to Asia. In the end, with Cabot´s voyage, the famous Northwest Passage was discovered. Today, that passage is controlled by the government of Canada.

Classical conditioning applies mostly to ________, while operant conditioning mostly applies to __________
kondor19780726 [428]

Classical conditioning applies to <u>voluntary behavior</u>, while operant conditioning applies to <u>involuntary </u><u>behavior</u>.

Classical conditioning links an automatic or voluntary response to a stimulus. Operant conditioning includes incentives as well as rewards for the learner, whereas classical conditioning does not.

Unconscious learning occurs during classical conditioning. When you learn through classical conditioning, a predetermined stimulus is matched with an instinctive conditioned response. Thus, a behaviour is produced.

Operant conditioning is a form of associative learning in which the strength of a behaviour is altered by reward or punishment. It is also a method that is employed to facilitate such learning.

According to the federal regulations, which of the following studies meets the definition of research with human subjects? A res
Alex777 [14]

The answer is: An experiment is proposed on the relationship between gender-related stereotypes in math and the subsequent performance by males and females on math tests.

Here the requirement for research with human subjects according to the Fed :

<em>"Obtains information or biospecimens through intervention or interaction with the individual, and uses, studies, or analyzes the information or biospecimens; or Obtains, uses, studies, analyzes, or generates identifiable private information or identifiable biospecimens."</em>

The experiment on the second option fulfill the criteria because:

- The experiment should use studies or analytics to obtain some sort of private information from the subjects. (<u>such as test scores and subjects' anxiety level)</u>

- The experiment should make some sort of intervention that can be used to measure its hypothesis. (<u>the test above could divide the subjects into two groups. First group of female subjects could be make to take the test without the presence of male subjects while the second group do the test with the presence of male subjects)</u>

- The researchers need to interact with the subject in a certain way.

<u>(meaning that the subjects can't be anonymous to the researchers</u>)
