a dot plot is when you plot data points

if you know what a graph (like x and y) is, then it is like that

you put data (usually taking data of 2 different things, like time and height) on the graph with one axis being for 1 item and the other axis for the other item

if you were to graph money spent to number of burgers bought, (assuming the cost of a burger was the same every time), then you would get a linear plot that shows a correlation (connection or relationship) between the 2 items

a dot plot can help you visualize trends between 2 or more items and make judgements or guesses based on the data available

Find the inverse of the functipn <br><br> f(x)=3x-7/2
vivado [14]

Answer:

2x+7/6

Step-by-step explanation:

an normal function would be mapping x to y, since this is the inverse we would map y to x

f(x) and y are the same so I will take f(x)  as "y"

1)3x-7/2=y

3y-7/2=x

solve/isolate "y" in 3y-7/2=x to get the value of  "y"

3y-7/2=x

add "7/2" to both sides

3y-7/2+7/2=x+7/2

3y=x+7/2

divide both sides by "3"

3y/3=x/3+7/2/3

simplify:

y=2x+7/6

hope this helps!

This graph shows a proportional relationship.
iogann1982 [59]

Answer:

The constant of proportionality is 0.3

Step-by-step explanation:

» The graph shows a direct proportiinality.

{ \rm{y \:   \alpha \: x}}

» Therefore, input the constant;

{ \rm{y = kx}}

» When x is 5, y is 1.5:

{ \tt{1.5 = (k \times 5)}} \\ { \rm{k = 0.3}}

To calculate simple interest, the amount of interest, I, can be found using this formula, where P is the principal, r is the int
Likurg_2 [28]

Answer:

b

Step-by-step explanation:

I = Prt  Solve the equation for r

<u> I </u>  =  <u>Prt</u>   Divide both sides by Pt to get r on one side of the equation by itself

Pt      Pt     Cancel the P and t on right side as P/P and t/t = 1

This leaves:   <u>  I </u> = r   or r = <u> I </u>

                       Pt                 Pt
