1) Chemical equation

Cu + 2AgNO3 ---> Cu (NO3)2 + 2Ag

2) molar ratios

1 mol Cu: 2 moles AgNO3 : 1 mol Cu (NO3)2 : 2 mol Ag

3) Convert 12. 83 * 10^23 atoms of Cu in moles

12.83 * 10 ^ 23 atoms / (6.02 * 10^23 atoms / mol) = 2.131 mol Cu

4) Use the proportions

2.131 mol Cu * 2 mol Ag / 1 mol Cu = 4.262 mol Ag

5) Use the atomic mass of silver to convert 4.262 mol in grams

mass = number of moles * atomic mass = 4.262 mol * 107.9 g / mol = 459.9 grams

Answer: 459.9 g

Which of the following surfaces creates the most friction?
Bumek [7]
The correct answer would be
A) Gravel driveway
This is the answer because if you have ever been to an ice skating rink, you know that you can glide quickly on it and if you fall, then you just continue sliding its basically a big waterside. In a bowling alley and an indoor basket ball court, most of the floors are probably waxed and your shoes don't have much of a grip on the floor. If you have ever fallen on a driveway, you would know that with the amount of force that you land on the driveway and the weight that is used, you create a lot of friction because of your skin rubbing against the driveway and you also have the marks to prove it!
Hope this helps and have a wonderful day! :)

The maximum contaminant level (MCL) set by the EPA of cadmium in drinking water is 0.0050 mg/L . Convert the MCL of cadmium from
stira [4]

Answer:

5 ppb of Cd

Explanation:

Given , Concentration = 0.0050 mg/L

To find this concentration in parts per billion

As,

1 mg per liter = 1 ppm

Parts per billion is defined as the number of the units of the mass of contaminant per thousand million units of the total mass. The relation between ppm and ppb is shown below as:

1 ppm = 1000 ppb

Concluding as:

1 mg per liter = 1000 ppb

So,

0.0050 mg/L = 1000 × 0.0050 ppb = 5 ppb of Cd
