Let us find the Surface area and Volume of both Prisms A and B to conclude which is greater.

Consider Prism A :

\bigstar Given Length of Prism A is 3 m

\bigstar Given Width of Prism A is 2 m

\bigstar Given Height of Prism A is 10 m

We know that :

\bigstar Surface Area of a Rectangular Prism is given by : 2[lw + wh + lh]

:\implies Surface area of Prism A : 2[(3)(2) + (2)(10) + (3)(10)]

:\implies Surface area of Prism A : 2[6 + 20 + 30]

:\implies Surface area of Prism A : 2[56]

:\implies Surface area of Prism A : 112 m²

We know that :

\bigstar Volume of a Rectangular Prism is given by : L x W x H

:\implies Volume of Prism A : [3 x 2 x 10]

:\implies Volume of Prism A : 60 m³

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Consider Prism B :

\bigstar Given Length of Prism B is 2 m

\bigstar Given Width of Prism B is 6 m

\bigstar Given Height of Prism B is 5 m

We know that :

\bigstar Surface Area of a Rectangular Prism is given by : 2[lw + wh + lh]

:\implies Surface area of Prism B : 2[(2)(6) + (6)(5) + (2)(5)]

:\implies Surface area of Prism B : 2[12 + 30 + 10]

:\implies Surface area of Prism B : 2[52]

:\implies Surface area of Prism B : 104 m²

We know that :

\bigstar Volume of a Rectangular Prism is given by : L x W x H

:\implies Volume of Prism B : [2 x 6 x 5]

:\implies Volume of Prism B : 60 m³

We can notice that Volumes of both Prism A and B are Equal, But the Surface Areas are not.

\bigstar Surface Area of Prism A is 112 m²

\bigstar Surface Area of Prism B is 104 m²

Answer : Surface Area of Prism A > Surface Area of Prism B

3

Step-by-step explanation:

Using listing:

1 \times 21 = 21

-4 = x -1 can I see you work it out please?
kherson [118]
We need to get x alone, to do that we add 1 to both sides to cancel out the -1 on the right.
-4 = x -1
+1 +1
-3=x

This means x is equal to -3. Hope this helps!

The contrapositive of a conditional statement is "If an item is not worth five dimes, then it is not worth two quarters.”
balandron [24]
Example of use of terms:
Statement: If it is far, we take a bus.
Inverse: If it is not far, we do not take a bus.
Converse: If we take a bus, it is far.
Contrapositive: If we do not take a bus, it is not far.

We also know that
1. The inverse of the inverse is the statement itself, and similarly for converse and contrapositive.
2. Only the contrapositive is logically equivalent to the original statement.
This means that the converse and inverse are logically different from the original statement.

Now back to the given statement.
To find the original statement, we find the contrapositive of the contrapositive.
We then find the converse from the original statement, as in the example above.

Original statement
(note that in English, if it is not worth X dollars, means if it is not worth AT LEAST X dollars")
contrapositive of

"If an item is not worth five dimes, then it is not worth two quarters.”
is the negation of the converse, which become
"If an item is worth two quarters, then it is worth (at least) five dimes."

The converse of the previous statement is therefore
"If an item is worth (at least) five dimes then it is worth two quarters"

In this particular case, we can also take advantage of the fact that the contrapositive is the negation of the converse. So all we have to do is the provide the negation of each component of the contrapositive to get the converse:
"If an item is worth (at least) five dimes, then it is worth two quarters".
as before.

Note that the converse does NOT logically mean the same as the original statement.

<B is a complement of <A and m<A = 65.2° find m<B
Helga [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

<B is a complement of <A

=> m<A + m<B = 180°

65.2° + m<B = 180°

m<B = 180° - 65.2° =114.8°
