Answer:

The answer to your question is shortest ladder = 6 ft, middle ladder = 12 ft, longest ladder = 24 ft.

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

Ladder 1 = x/2

Ladder 2 = x

Ladder 3 = 2x

Total length = 42 ft

Process

1.- Sum the length of all ladders and solve for x

                   x/2 + x + 2x = 42

Least common factor = 2

                   (x + 2x + 4x)/2 = 42

Simplify

                   7x/2 = 42

                       7x = 42(2)

                       7x = 84

                         x = 84/7

                         x = 12

2.- Find the length of the ladders

Ladder 1 = 12/2 = 6

Ladder 2 = 12

Ladder 3 = 24

List the following stocks and bonds in order from lowest default risk to highest default risk.
artcher [175]
The list of the stocks and bond in order from the lowest default risk to the highest default risk is as follows:

Foreign government bond, preferred stock, common stock.

Government bonds are generally referred to as a low risk investment as they have a very low chance of default.

Preferred shared holders are considered first in the disbursement of dividend before common stockholder are considered. Thus, preferred stock is of less risk than common stock.

A common inhabitant of human intestines is the bacterium Escherichia coli. A cell of this bacterium in a nutrient-broth medium d
qwelly [4]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

Cells are divided into two cell every 20mins, this implies that the half-life is 20mins

Initial population growth is 60cells

Growth rate r?

Population growth is modeled as

P(t) = Po•exp(rt)

Where,

Po is the initial growth at t= 0

Po= 60

P(t) is population at any time t.

Since the population doubles every 20mins(⅓hr)

Then, P(⅓) = 2×60 =120

Then, P(t) = 120cells

So, applying the formula

P(t) = Po•exp(rt)

120 = 60•exp(⅓r)

120/60 = exp(r/3)

2 = exp(r/3)

Take In of both sides

In(2) = r/3

Cross multiply

r = 3In(2)

r = 2.079 /hour

The growth rate is 2.079/hour.
