Styline menswear ordered short-sleeve shirts for $23 each and long-sleeve shirts for $28.50

short-sleeve shirts for $23

long-sleeve shirts for $28.50

Total cost = $9,862.50

Let x be the number of short - sleeve

and y be the number of long - sleeve

Total shirts = 375

x + y = 375

23x + 28.50y = 9862.50

Now we solve for x

x + y = 375 ( subtract x on both sides)

So y = 375 - x

Now plug in 375 -x for y in second equation

23x + 28.50y = 9862.50

23x + 28.50(375 - x ) = 9862.50

23x + 10687.5 - 28.50x = 9862.50

subtract 10687.5 from both sides

23x - 28.50x = -825

-5.5x = -825 (divide -5.5 on both sides)

x = 150

So number of short-sleeve = 150

Lizzy has 6.5 hours to tutor 4 students and spend 1.5 hours in a lab. She plans to tutor each student the same amount of time. T
olchik [2.2K]
Not really sure whats up with that inequality but she can't, if she has to spend 1.5 hours in a lab that leaves her with 5 hours. 5/4 is 1.25, so no, she can only spend 1.25 hours with each student.

-7-3 log₂ (-n + 10) = -16
SOVA2 [1]

Answer:

2

Step-by-step explanation:

-3 log₂ (-n + 10) = -16+7

-3 log₂ (-n + 10) = -9

log₂ (-n + 10) = -9/-3

log₂ (-n + 10) = 3

-n + 10 = 2^3

-n + 10 = 8

n=2

Could someone please help me solve this? Brainly if correct
Scorpion4ik [409]

You will need to deposit $ 10,957 each year until retirement to achieve your retirement goals.

What is compound interest, and how does it work?

Compound interest is computed on a loan or deposit based on the starting principle and the preceding period's accrued interest.

Principal(P)=$40,000

(Time period)T=25+15 = 40 year

R=8%

The final balance is $273,938.99 and the total compound interest is $233,938.99.

The amount he has to deposit each year is found as;

⇒$273,938.99/25

⇒ $ 10,957

Hence. you will need to deposit $ 10,957 each year until retirement to achieve your retirement goals.
