Answer:

The Intrinsic value is calculated by multiplying the Earnings per share by the P/E ratio.

1. The lowest P/E ratio is 21.37 so the intrinsic value is;

Intrinsic value  = 2.1 * 21.37

= $44.88

2. Highest P/E ratio is 23.49

Intrinsic value = 2.1 * 23.49

= $49.33

3. The average P/E ratio is;

= (22.07 + 23.49 + 21.37)/3

= 22.31

Intrinsic value  = 2.1 * 22.31

= $46.85

Ofarrell Corporation, a company that produces and sells a single product, has provided its contribution format income statement
andrew11 [14]

Answer:

The net operating income should be $69,100 for 7,200 units.

Explanation:

Given,

Sales (6800) units - $306,000

Variable expense (6800)  - 149,600

Contribution - 156,400 (Sales - Variable cost )

Less - Fixed Expense $96,500

Net operating Income - $59,900

Since, the sales and the variable expense is given for 6800 units. For computing the net operating income for 7200 units, it is important to calculate per unit price of both.

Per unit sales = Sales ÷ Number of units

                      = $306,000 ÷ 6800 units

                      =  $45 per unit sale

Per unit variable expense = Variable expense ÷ Units

                                           = 149,600 ÷ 6800 units

                                           =  22 per unit expense.

Now, we can compute easily.

Sales = (7200 × $45) = $324,000

Less - Variable cost (7200 × $22) =  158,400

Contribution - $165,600

Less - Fixed expense - $ 96500

Net operating income - $69,100

The fixed expense would remain the same.

Thus, the net operating income should be $69,100 for 7,200 units.

GalinKa [24]

Answer:

Fixed costs are the relatively stable, ongoing costs of operating a business that are not dependent on production levels. They include general overhead expenses such as salaries and wages, building rental payments or utility costs. Variable costs, meanwhile, are those directly related to, and that vary with, production levels, such as the cost of materials used in production or the cost of operating machinery in the process of production.

Total production costs include all the expenses of producing products at current levels. As an example, a company that makes 150 widgets has production costs for all 150 units it produces. The marginal cost of production is the cost of producing one additional unit.

omeli [17]

Answer: E) Both answers B and D are correct.

Explanation:

Inflation using the Consumer Price Index is calculated by;

= (CPI in current year - CPI in previous year) / CPI in previous year

Year 2 Inflation = (100 - 90) / 90

= 11%

Year 3 Inflation = (110 - 100) / 100

= 10%

Andre45 [30]

Answer: a. $73,810.88

b. $10,185.18

Explanation:

a. The payments of $11,000 are constant so this can be considered an Annuity.

The cost of the Computer is it's present value which is,

Present Value of Annuity = Annuity Payment * Present Value Interest Factor of Annuity, 11%, 10 periods

= 11,000 * 6.71008 (Payment is made at the end of the year so this is an Ordinary Annuity)

= $73,810.88

b. When an Annuity is instead paid at the beginning of the period it is considered to be an Annuity due.

The formula is the same but for the figures ,

Present Value of Annuity Due = Annuity * Present Value Interest Factor of an Annuity Due, 11% , 10 periods

73,810.88 = Annuity * 7.24689

Annuity = 73,810.88/7.24689

= $10,185.18
