tRNA carries a single amino acid to the ribosome.
It fits the codon on the mRNA in the ribosome with it's anti-codon.

The ribosome has peptidyl-transferase activity which catalyses the peptide bond between 2 amino acids on 2 tRNAs in the ribosome.

One tRNA is released and then picks up another amino acid depending on its anti-codon.

sergejj [24]

Answer: A change in allele frequencies caused by random events

Explanation :Genetic drift refers to a process which occur due to sampling error from preceding generations that lead to a change in allele frequency by chance alone within a population. It is a random process which leads to large significant changes within a population over a short period of time. The rapid changes are due to increasing inbreeding coefficient s and homozygosity from the removal of alleles.

It is peculiar to a population which is synonymous with regular cycle of extinction and recolonization. Therefore, together with evolution, mutation and migration, it is one of the driving mechanism of EVOLUTION.

It is caused by;

Static or recurring small population sizes,

"Bottlenecks” form of population, that is drastic reduction in population size;

Repopulation from a small number of individual-FOUNDER EVENTS.

Measurements of Genetic Drift

The magnitude of genetic drift within a population depends on the effective population size for the population.This is represented as Ne. It is a theoretical number use to quantify the number of genetically distinct individuals that contribute gametes

Which factor does the moment magnitude scale estimate?
malfutka [58]

Answer:

It estimates the size or strength of an earthquake but is typically used only for medium or large earthquakes . The moment is the slip on the fault multiplied by the area of the fault surface that slips. The moment is then used to estimate the size of the earthquake by finding the moment magnitude with an equation. It is the only magnitude scale that estimates the energy released from an earthquake.

Craig rides a skateboard on the sidewalk in front of the mall, traveling at 18km/h. How much time would it take him to travel 6.
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

0.33hours

Explanation:

The speed of a moving body can be calculated by using the formula;

Speed = distance ÷ time

According to the information provided, the time it would take Craig to ride the skateboard on the sidewalk at an average speed of 18km/h for a distance of 6km is being asked.

Hence, derived from the above formula;

Time = Distance/speed

Time = 6/18

Time (hr) = 0.3333hr or 19.8minutes
