<h2><u>Answer:</u></h2>

The First Barbary War was an undeclared war pursued by the United States against the North African conditions of Morocco, Tripoli, Algiers, and Tunis. The rule reason for the war was that those states harbored and bolstered the activities of privateers against American transportation vessels in the Mediterranean Sea.

In March 1801, Jefferson requested a squadron driven by Commodore Richard Dale to bar Tripoli and to assault any meddling Barbary transport. Andrew Sterret, commander of the Enterprise, won the principal American triumph of the war. On August 1, 1801, Sterret caught Rais Mahomet Rous' 14-firearm corsair Tripoli.

The reason for the U.S. support was privateers from the Barbary States seizing American shipper ships and holding the teams for payoff, requesting the U.S. pay tribute to the Barbary rulers. Joined States President Thomas Jefferson would not pay this tribute. Sweden had been at war with the Tripolitans since 1800.

What were some of the positive and negative consequences of the columbian exchange
Alex777 [14]

The Columbian Exchange had positive and negative consequences.

Some of the positive consequences were the introduction of different nutrients and food supplies into the Old World, such as corn or potatoes. This improved the diet of most Europeans, leading to a population growth in the next generations.

However, Europe benefited more than the Americas, for some of the negative consequences about the Columbian Exchange were the introduction of diseases into the continent and the slavery of African populations into the Americas.
