The illustration shows a representative food web found in the marine environment. What would happen to this food web if the phyt

oplankton population were eliminated?

Carnivorous zooplankton populations would likely increase.
Predation rates by penguins on fish would likely cease.

It's option 3, The consumers on the web would likely starve.

Phytoplankton are at the bottom, which means they are the most important, they feed the krill, and if the plankton die off, the krill will starve, and when the krill starve, their population starts going down, leading to the zooplankton, fish, birds, seals, and pretty much everything else starving and more thank likely dying. This is why people are so concerned about certain endangered species dying out.

Explanation:

Through the process of photosynthesis, plants use the sun's energy to make sugars to function. External means from an outside force, while internal means from within. Since the sun isn't inside a plant, they gather it from outside, thus it's external.

Explain how the equations for photosynthesis and respiration are related. Identify each as being either catabolic or anabolic re
larisa [96]

Answer:

An anabolic reaction can be described as a reaction in which reactants join to form products. In the process of photosynthesis, carbon dioxide and water molecules join to build up glucose molecules hence, it is an anabolic reaction.

The catabolic reaction can be described as a reaction in which large molecules are broken down into smaller substances. In cellular respiration, glucose is broken down into carbon dioxide and water. Hence, cellular respiration is a catabolic reaction.

The equations of photosynthesis and cellular respiration are exactly opposite to one another. Hence, holding a connection. The products of photosynthesis are the reactants of cellular respiration and vice versa.
