First let’s write down what 2 fourth would look like. It would look like 2/4 (on the computer/phone it looks a little different, if you were to write it out the 2 would be over the 4). Now think is there anything that 2 and 4 can both be divided by. The answer is yes! They can both be divided by 2. So divide them both by 2. 2 divided by 2 is 1, and 4 divided by 2 is 2. So your answer becomes 1/2, or one half. There is nothing else they can both be divided by so that’s your final answer.
