Answer:

Based on the molecular weight given - 17,000, the protein in the red blood cells is Haemoglobin A (Hb A).

Explanation:

The technique used for protein molecule separation based on their molecular size of protein in molecular biology study along with a reference protein marker for the identification of exact unknown protein size is known as SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. During the separation method of protein, DNA and RNA,  etc, Sodium dodecyl sulfate is a synthetic organic compound used as a surfactant in the lysis solution.

Based on the molecular weight given - 17,000, the protein in the red blood cells is Haemoglobin A (Hb A). Its function is to carry oxygen from the respiratory organs to the rest of the body and tissues. Hb A is found in the form of a tetramer, that is, it contains four subunits proteins consisting of two alpha and two beta subunits each consist of 141 & 146 amino acid residues. Each subunit has a molecular size of about 16000 daltons approx and they are structurally similar and have the same size.

Describe two examples of steroids. For Each example, describe its physiological function
NARA [144]

Testosterone is an example of a steroid.  Its physiological functions include:

1. Determines the the gender of a developing embryo.

2. Development of reproductive organs and the prostrate gland in males.

3. Responsible for secondary sexual characteristics in males such as deeper pitch, increased muscle bulk, hair on the upper lip.

4. Regulates normal sperm development.

Another steroid is cholesterol. Physiological functions include:

1. Helps maintain the structure  of cells and vessels improving overall health and function in the body.

2. Precursor to important sex hormones such as testosterone and estrogen.

3. Used as an insulator around nerves and is absolutely essential for brain function.

4. Precursor to Vitamin D,  which supports a healthy immune and nervous system

Answer:

all i know is the one for the human population part shown in explanation by

ryuvrajsingh1298 ....

Explanation:

Population growth is also important because it affects the Earth's ability to withstand climate change and absorb emissions, such as through deforestation as land is converted for agricultural use to feed a growing human population. We are currently adding more than 80 million people a year to our global population.
