Answer:

Bias is dangerous if it becomes a barrier to the search of truth.

Explanation:

Bias, or favoritism, has the ability to cloud the judgement of the one who is biased. Bias can be for or against a person, group, or article. It is a naturally occurring phenomenon, however, at times it can be dangerous. If it makes someone ignorant to the true facts, or stops them from even looking for the truth, it can be very dangerous as that will lead to wrong decisions with potentially harmful consequences.

The war in Iraq was successful in removing dictator Saddam Hussein from power. Which term would BEST describe how the country wa
Svetradugi [14.3K]
Saddam formally rose to power in 1979, although he had already been the de facto head of Iraq for several years. He suppressed several movements, particularly Shi'a and Kurdish movements, which sought to overthrow the government or gain independence, and maintained power during the Iran–Iraq War and the Gulf War. Whereas some in the Arab world lauded Saddam for opposing the United States and attacking Israel he was widely condemned for the brutality of his dictatorship. The total number of Iraqis killed by the security services of Saddam's government in various purges and genocides is conservatively estimated to be 250,000. Saddam's invasions of Iran and Kuwait also resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths. He acquired the title "Butcher of Baghdad".

In 2003, a coalition led by the U.S. invaded Iraq to depose Saddam, in which U.S. President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair falsely accused him of possessing weapons of mass destruction and having ties to al-Qaeda. Saddam's Ba'ath party was disbanded and elections were held. Following his capture on 13 December 2003, the trial of Saddam took place under the Iraqi Interim Government. On 5 November 2006, Saddam was convicted by an Iraqi court of crimes against humanity related to the 1982 killing of 148 Iraqi Shi'a, and sentenced to death by hanging. His execution was carried out on 30 December 2006.

If the economy is experiencing a recession, list one fiscal policy and one monetary policy that can be used to correct the situa
Vedmedyk [2.9K]

In case of a recession, an example of a fiscal policy would be Expansionary Fiscal Policy, which consist of tax cutting and/or increased government spending. The tax cut should incentivize people's spending, and thus leading to an increase in AD (Aggregate Demand, the total demand for services and goods) which would also boost GDP (Gross domestic product, the nation's market value of all final goods and services in a given year).

A good monetary policy would be Expansionary monetary policy. This policy relies on the cutting of interest rates to boost AD.

Fiscal and monetary policies are often behind the same results and work with one another to achieve them. The difference lies in this: fiscal policies have to do with taxation and government spending, while monetary policies are related to interest rates.
