Monroe Doctrine it is a kind of policy to drive away the foreign powers or hands of from US area of influence- which means it is a kind of warning to european powers that not to meddle in US sphere of interest.

With the declaration of this doctrine US could able to ward off any kind of outside interference in the American backyard and in Latin America.

Through this doctrine US policy makers could able to remove any kind of competition in the american sphere of influence- hence no competition and it is total monopoly for the US Corporate sector. And this helped the US companies and multinationals to make lot of property in this region.

Monroe Doctrine is a continued with the declaration of policy of containment- which is a declared policy against the Soviet Union and Communism.

So Monroe Doctrine did helped US empire in many ways, after all it is policy framed to help and advance US interests in the world.
