In a pack of 52 cards, there are 26 black cards (13 spade and 13 club), and 26 red cards (13 heart and 13 diamond).

Now, the probability of selecting 1st card from 52 cards: 1;

Remaining cards of same colors = 25;
And, Total remaining cards = 51;

So, the probability of selecting 2nd card of same color = (1 x 25) / 51
                                                                                       = 25/51

An Alternate Method:

The probability of getting two red cards is 26/52 x 25/51
   = 1/2 x 25/51
   = 25/102.

Since the number of black cards is the same as the number of reds, the probability of selecting two black cards is also 25/102.

So, the probability of selecting two cards of the same color (either both red or both black) is 25/102 + 25/102 = 25/51.

By using PnC:

Total ways = 52C2

Selecting both Red cards = 26C2

Selecting both Black cards = 26C2

Thus, Probability = (2 x 26C2)/52C2
                            = 25/51

∴ The probability of drawing 2 cards of the same suite is 25/51

Select all of the given trigonometric equations that are true statements. sin(180°) = cos(0°) cos(74°) = sin(16°) sin(20°) = cos
lara [203]

Answer:

Cos 74°= Sin 16°

Sin 20°= Cos 70°

Sin A°=Cos (90°- A°)

Step-by-step explanation:

This is because the three pairs are complementary i.e they add up to 90° and in trigonometric ratios, complementary ratios are equal.

Reggie, Alvin, and Jose are member of a relay running team. Reggie finished his leg of the race 2.45 seconds faster than Alvin a
lorasvet [3.4K]
From the given, we expressed the time that each of the team members ran in mathematical expression.

                Reggie = 57.12 seconds
                 Alvin = 57.12 + 2.45 seconds = 59.57 seconds
                 Jose = 57.12 - 3.81 seconds = 53.31 seconds
We then sum up all the time we calculate to determine the total time for the team. The answer is therefore 170 seconds.

Plss help i’ll give brainliest thank you!
bija089 [108]

Answer:

36

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula of LCM is LCM(a,b) = ( a × b) / GCF (a,b)

The Greatest Common Factor of (9,12) = 3

Therefore

LCM of 9 and 12 = (9 × 12) / 3

= 108/3 = 36

LCM of 9 and 12 = 36

Irrespective of the method, the solution to our question LCM of 9 and 12 is the same.

Therefore, LCM of 9 and 12 is 36
