Hello there,

In order to find the equation you would need to use the slope intercept form:

  • \frac{y_{2} - y_{1}  }{x_{2} - x_{1} }

Now we plug in and solve for the slope:

  • \frac{0-1}{0-(-3)} = \frac{-1}{3}

Now we plug into y = mx + b to solve for the y-intercept:

  • 0 = -\frac{1}{3}(0) + b which gives you 0 for the y-intercept

So the equation would have to be y = -\frac{1}{3} +0 or just y = -\frac{1}{3}

Hope I helped,

Amna

The absolute value of a number is its distance from 0. An easy way to think about this is that the absolute value turns a negative number positive, and has no effect on positive numbers. In this case, we are taking the absolute value of a negative number. This means we should simply make the number positive. Therefore, the answer is \frac{1}{3}

Line E'F' has endpoints located at E'(1,0) and F'(1,3). Line EF was dilated by a scale of 1/2 from the orgin. Which statement de
Lerok [7]

Answer:

If line EF was dilated by a scale of 1/2 from the origin to get line E'F', then if line E'F' is dilated by a scale of 2 from the origin, EF is obtained. Also, the length of EF is double than the length of E'F'.

Dilation by a scale of 2 from the origin transforms point (x,y) into (2*x, 2*y)

E'(1,0) -> E(2,0)

F'(1, 3) ->F(2, 6)

length of E'F': 3

length of EF: 6

Two trains 100 km apart are traveling toward each other along the same track. The first train goes 50 km per hour; the second tr
dem82 [27]

Answer:

92.31 km

Step-by-step explanation:

Combined speed = 50+80

= 130 km/hour

Time = 100/130 = 10/13 hours to collide

Speed × time = distance

distance = 10/13 × 120

= 92.30769231 km
