There is a theorem that states that the two triangles made from connecting a rectangles opposing vertices produces two identical triangles. you can then use the cpctc theorem to prove the angles are congruent. it can also be proven by using the hypotenuse-leg theorem; US=SU because of the symmetric property, RU=ST because RUTS is a rectangle and therefore its parallel sides are congruent, ∠URS and ∠UST are right because RUTS is rectangular, therefore triangleUSR=triangleSUT because of the hypotenuse leg theorem, ∠USR=∠SUT becuase of CPCTC

Please help me define the variables and write out each equation. TY!
juin [17]

Answer:

The equations are:

10x + 9y = 122

x + y = 13

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Jose makes 10$ per hour washing cars and 9$ per hour walking dogs.

Also, it is given that he had worked for 13 hours total making 122$.

Let us assume the number of hours he spent on washing cars = 'x'.

Let us assume the number of hours he spent on walking dogs = 'y'.

Since, the total number of hours is 13, we can write:

x + y = 13 . . . eqn(1)

And since he has made 122$ in total, we will have:

10x + 9y = 122 . . .eqn(2)

'10x' represents the total money earned by washing cars and '9y' represents the total hours spent on walking dogs.

Hence, Eqn (1) and Eqn(2) is the answer.

Solving them will give: x = 5 and b = 8.

The temperature at a point (x, y) is T(x, y), measured in degrees Celsius. A bug crawls so that its position after t seconds is
aniked [119]

Answer:

10.50°C

Step-by-step explanation:

Given x = 2 + t , y = 1 + 1/2t where x and y are measured in centimeters. Also, the temperature function satisfies Tx(2, 2) = 9 and Ty(2, 2) = 3

The rate of change in temperature of the bug path can be expressed using the composite formula:

dT/dt = Tx(dx/dt) + Ty(dy/dt)

If x = 2+t; dx/dt = 1

If y = 1+12t; dy/dt = 1/2

Substituting the parameters gotten into dT/dt we will have;

dT/dt = 9(1)+3(1/2)

dT/dt = 9+1.5

dT/dt = 10.50°C/s

Hence the rate at which the temperature is rising along the bug's path is 10.50°C/s
