.06x+0.08 (1500-x)=106.4
Solve for x
0.06+120-0.08x=106.4
0.06x-0.08x=106.4-120
-0.02x=-13.6
X=13.6÷0.02
X=680 invested at 6%

A bird with a mass of 1.5 kg flies at a rate of 4.0 m/s. What is the kinetic energy of the bird?
weqwewe [10]
The answer is 12 J.

The kinetic energy (KE) of an object is expressed as the product of half of the mass (m) of the object and the square of its velocity (v²):
KE =  \frac{1}{2} m*v^{2}

The unit of the kinetic energy is Joules (J = kg · (m/s)²).

It is given:
m = 1.5 kg
v = 4 m/s

It is unknown:
KE = ?

Thus:
KE = \frac{1}{2} m*v^{2}
<span>KE = \frac{1}{2} 1.5kg*(4 m/s)^{2}</span>
<span>KE = 0.75kg*16(m/s)^{2}</span>
KE = 12 kg*(m/s)^{2}
KE = 12J

Therefore, the kinetic energy of the bird is 12J.

Chen has 4 pizzas to share with his friends. If each person eats 2/3 of a pizza, how many people can share the pizzas?
Mariulka [41]

Answer:

6

Step-by-step explanation:

If Chen has 4 pizzas and you need to know in terms of thirds the logical thing to do would be to set 4 to a fraction over 3 (12/3). Since each friend will eat 2/3 of a pizza you divide 12 by 2 (taken from the numerators). This will get you to 6.
